Christian Writer started the topic Getting readers for a "slow" blog in the forum General Chat 7 years, 5 months ago
How do you get readers for a slow blog? By slow, I mean one that gets updated at most once or twice a month.
I don’t feel I have more to say so posting more would dilute what I do have to say.
How do I make that work?

Christian Writer replied to the topic Recommend a good book in the forum General Chat 7 years, 5 months ago
In terms of interesting characters, The Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis.
In terms of life-changing, there are too many to choose from. Maybe my first choice would be The Shack by William P Young but that might not be for everyone.
In terms of books everyone should read, well, there’s the obvious answer. As writers, we should have at least a pas…Read more

Matthew Brown replied to the topic What do you blog about? in the forum General Chat 7 years, 5 months ago
Of course, a writer can write about writing.
But an author can and should blog about any and all of the themes, issues, and historical periods that crop up in their books.
You can write about social issues that you feel strongly about.
You can share and defend any controversial opinions you hold. If a debate kicks of people will be talking…Read more

No worries, my friend. Write something when you are ready.

I don’t blog myself – no discipline – but what can writers write about other than writing?
Maybe that’s why I don’t blog…

Jason Latnar started the topic How do you overcome writer's block? in the forum Aspiring Authors 7 years, 5 months ago
I’m not feeling blocked (for now) but I sometimes get properly stuck with a story.
How do you overcome being blocked? Are there some tricks that help you get past it? Is there a trick to always getting unblocked?
What works for you?

Is it just an about page that I need?
Are there any others?
I guess that a contact page goes without saying.

jeffjohns started the topic Recommend a good book in the forum General Chat 7 years, 5 months ago
We don’t have a cook recommending thread yet so I’m making one.
Recommend a good book.
- Recommend that one book that changed your life.
- Recommend that one book you think everyone should read.
- Recommend a series that you cannot get enough of.
Just tell me what you think I should read next.
