The writing community is pretty big on Twitter. I’m not sure if anyone sells more books on Twitter. At 40k to 50k follows publishers and agents start to take note. I guess that means follows = sales.

Blog: I’ve recently been making my way through “Smoke and Mirrors” and quite enjoying it. It is usually clear these stories were written decades ago, however, none quite so much feel they would be best described as “would never have been written today” as “Changes.” Seeing as how our culture’s views on gender and being transgender have changed in the past 25 or so years since you wrote “Changes,” how do you feel about it now? Not to mention the unfortunate fact we still haven’t cured cancer. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 10 months ago
I think it’s a good story, in that it gets to do what Science Fiction is meant to do, which is ask big What If questions. In that case it was “what might it tak […]

Blog: Hello Mr. Gaiman, I was given volume one of the sandman omnibus for Christmas. It’s a wonderful read and I’m about 800 pages in, however I was wondering if you have any advice for neck pain after looking down at a very heavy book for several hours? I feel like your advice would serve me well when I inevitably get the remaining two. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 10 months ago
Have you thought about reading stretched out on a sofa and letting the sofa take the weight of the enormous book?

Blog: Hello, Not a question, but about a decade ago a friend got me a copy of A Game of You for my birthday. Not exactly the happiest ending, but it’s one of the first pieces of media I can remember consuming that portrayed a trans character in a positive light, not as a joke or a villain, but as one of the heroes. It was exactly what I needed at that point in my life, so I just wanted to say thank you. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 10 months ago

Blog: Planning a holiday in Skye this year (were in central belt) for me, husband and 5yo. Do you have any recommendations on area to stay in or things to do/visit? We like walking, stargazing and quiet areas. We plan to visit fairy glen etc but other than that we don’t know.
