Blog: hello neil, I’m a pretty big fan of comics and I just learned you did some work at marvel and dc (and maybe some others I might not have heard of) and i was wondering what works you enjoyed making? I haven’t gotten around to reading a lot of your stuff yet (time is a pain) so I thought I’d ask now instead of waiting, as I have no idea how long that could take. and if you don’t mind me asking, which out of the big two publishers did you enjoy working with more? from what I’ve heard neither are particularly perfect from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
DC, Marvel and Dark Horse were all terrific. Image I had to sue to get paid (I won the case and got a hefty judgement against them) so I can’t recommend them.

Because it was made as a promotion after the show was made, I guess. It’s a lovely bonus thing. Also one of those Nuns looks a lot like me and is out of the habit.

Sometimes the artists feel that they don’t need a prose line from the story in an adaptation if they can show the thing in the picture.

Blog: I am working on this assignment for college (which happens to be inspired by Good Omens (book)) and am wondering how to squeeze in references which are not directly related to the book. Something similar to the Doctor Who references in the show, for example. References that are not understood by someone who is not me (don’t know if that makes sense) just for the fun of it. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
Don’t squeeze them in for the sake of it. Put them in where they feel natural, and it’s fun to put them in.

Blog: Hello Mr. Gaiman! A question popped into my head just now and I thought I’d ask. What is it like to, as a writer of fiction, see academic papers written about your fictional work? I’m writing a brief essay about adaptations of novels into films and series and I’ve been seeing Good Omens asks cross my dashboard today, hence the interest. Have a lovely day! from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
