Mastodon is not all that new – people are discovering it as they flee the hot mess that is Twitter. Mastodon is a friendly community and well worth it IMHO.

I’m a bit late to this party but here goes anyway…
For me, Mastodon is miles better than Twitter. While you will likely have smaller numbers they will all be connections of genuine interest and actual interaction. I love it there.
