Blog: Hello Mr Gaiman. Perhaps you have already been asked, but you said that you learned a lot about the first season of Good Omens, and does that mean that you learned about Aziraphale’s personality? I mean, will he have more development in season two? Greetings from Argentina. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 6 months ago
I think only you can be the judge of that. Once you’ve seen it let me know what you think.

Blog: Hi Neil. A while back, you came to Tulsa, Oklahoma and gave a talk and a reading and discussed an author who I believe was from around here who had greatly influenced you, whose work is now out of print I believe. I’ve unfortunately forgotten his name. I’m now an archivist student in Tulsa and interested in seeing if I could make some of his work a “holy grail” of my personal old book collection, because your description of his writing was magical. Do you mind telling me his name? (The most recent addition to my collection was a beautiful 1893 edition of Vanity Fair! It’s my oldest book so far.) from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 6 months ago

Blog: Ciao Neil! You have again a verified badge on twitter (because you have more than 1 million followers).. I read that if you change your name, it will disappear! They really have no idea what they are doing over there, do they? And by “they” I suppose I must mean “he”. And wait and see.

Blog: Hello, Neil! I don’t know if you’re ever going to answer this because of the many messages on your inbox, but it’s worth trying. I really like to write, but there’s a problem that seems to be repeating itself everytime I have a new idea: i always make up great characters with depth and development arc, I know everything about their dynamic with others, their relationship arcs, the things they struggle, and all these internal things. However, i can’t seem to be able to come up with the actual plot of the story to set them in. How can I deal with that? Thanks! from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 7 months ago

Blog: I was just reading the speech you recently posted a link to and came across this sentence: “…wanting to write like Tolkien would have been, for me, like wanting to blossom like a cherry tree or climb a tree like a squirrel or rain like a thunderstorm.” Can you say more about this? To me this would seem like the ideal way to write at least about nature, to capture the beauty & music of nature in words. And I think you do in places. Interested in hearing why that did not appeal to you? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 7 months ago
Because it’s not something you can learn how to do, it’s something that you are.

There’s a story called “Tastings” in Smoke and Mirrors, and a few bits of American Gods, but that’s all I can think of so far.
