Matthew Brown wrote a new blog post Add a time limit in the group The Muse of Last Resort: 3 years, 11 months ago
Put your characters under pressure by adding a time limit or a time-sensitive task.
Make them race against the clock. Bonus points if they run out of time or do everything with plenty of time to spare.

Blog:
Hello. The other day I was talking to my parent about your work, and he told me about a reading he attended as a teen or young adult in Seattle, which he described as taking place in a club atmosphere, with many youth of the time sitting quietly on the floor listening intently to you read aloud. Do you remember these events, and if so, could you talk about them?
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago
That would have been a benefit in around 1999 in (if memory serves) a venue called the Crocodile. It was a strange sort of a venue to do a reading in, but everyone […]

Blog:
Hello Mr Gaiman,

Hope you are well. I am a huge fan of your books and have been since I read Stardust, because I loved the film so much. Like a lot of people I find I’m often disappointed by on-screen adaptations of books, however you seem to have particularly good luck at avoiding this (at least from what I’ve seen in the likes of GO, Coraline, Stardust etc). Is it good luck or are you doing something especially to ensure your work is done justice? Because they’re not necessarily perfectly faithful adaptations but they tend to stay true to the themes of your original in ways that many adaptations fall flat?
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago
I try and work with the people who are doing the adaptations, and talk to them. Sometimes I choose them. (I chose Henry Selick to write and direct Coraline, chose […]

Blog:
Hello Mr Gaiman,

You've stated before that while you would like to make a second series of Good Omens, you have rather a lot in your plate as it is, and if it were to happen it would take some time to get there (we completely understand, btw). Are you worried about the cast visibly aging in that time? Or would you simply publish a written sequel, if it came to it?
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago
The cast are not aging. They are maturing, like fine wines.

Blog:
Was it scripted that Crowley purposefully walk on the grass in episode two or was that David Tennant’s idea?
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago
It was directed that way, by Douglas Mackinnon. It wasn’t in the script because I didn’t know what the driveway would look like when I wrote it.

Blog:
Hello! First, how are you? Second, who had the idea to put the bird from the church in Crowley's flat? Uhh that's it! Thank you
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago
Hello!Good, thank you!Michael Ralph, our production designer, suggested it, and we loved the idea.

Blog:
Hi Neil! I'm looking forward to the unboxing later and absolutely marveling at the beautiful art that the Lyra's Books team has made of an already beautiful book. Cheers to everyone involved! Question: is the "Partners in Wonder" story you began with Harlan Ellison many years ago ever going to see publication? Or was it not finished to his satisfaction before he passed and now resides only in your mind and Lucien's library? Thanks and well wishes from Michigan!
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago
I really don’t know. After Harlan’s death I wondered what to do with the story and went back and reread what there was of it. It’s fun… but the world it’s se […]

Well, when it came to humour, Terry looked up to P.G. Wodehouse— the occasional romantic subplots are always comedic, and often involve escaping from an u […]

Blog:
Hello Mr. Gaiman. Do you have any particular favorite Latin American author? By the way, I want to get a tattoo regarding Good Omens (Crowley and Aziraphale, to be precise). My father told me he would let me do it only if you gave me permission (I don't really get why, I'm an adult already (23 y/o man), but well, here we are). Have a great day, hope you and your family are doing well.
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago

I was thinking about doing some videos about Author Platforms and blogging in general. I’ve lost my voice at the moment but as soon as I can speak again, I’m going to start producing videos in runs of seasons. The next season is Authors, blogging, and social media. Not the final name, just a working title.
