Loot boxes are an example of Skinner boxes.

Matthew Brown replied to the topic Lots of spammy looking registrations? in the forum General Chat 3 years, 11 months ago
It is not you. They register and then post spammy topics in the forums. You never see that bit because the spam filter locks it away before it ever gets published.
I’ve been hesitant to add barriers to joining because they will affect legitimate new members too. However, if this keeps up, I might have to do something. I recently blocked all of…Read more

Blog:
Hi so first you’re a personal hero and writing role model! Secondly, my siblings and I were discussing favorite and least favorite Christmas movies, and when we came to It’s a Wonderful Life, we agreed it could use a reboot, and my sister suggested replacing Clarence the Angel with Aziraphale and Crowley! What are your thoughts on this possible stroke of genius? And do you have the power to make it happen?
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago
I do not have that power. But I can tell you that Douglas Mackinnon, the director, hid at least one It’s A Wonderful Life easter egg in Good Omens.

Blog:
Dave McKean visited Belgrade for the screening of his film LUNA (2015). During the pre-screen Q&A he had this to say: "Hmm, the difference between Neil and I? Well, imagine a story. A child sees a fairy. I would write it so that the child, now all grown up, realizes some internal struggle. Then finally admits, there was no fairy. Neil, would go *he pretends to pull something out of his pocket* "Oh yes! Here is that fairy! Right here 😀 " Is this accurate?
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 11 months ago
I guess. Dave certainly isn’t ever going to read the Katharine Briggs Dictionary of Fairies for pleasure, and I’ve got a copy by the side of the bathtub ups […]
