Bob Bobson replied to the topic Tips for writing realistic dialogue? in the forum Aspiring Authors 4 years, 3 months ago
My best character conversations are based on listening to people talking. I ride the train to work and spend most of the time listening to the other passengers and taking notes.

The answer depends on two factors:
- Your audience’s needs
- Your ability to keep up with the schedule

Which is better for authors – just using the free link that comes with a blog or buying a custom one. Something jeffjohns.com or whatever?

I’ve been reading up on blogging. There seems to be quite a lot of opinion about just how often is the right amount for a blog. No one talks about the right amount for a new blog nor when you should consider your blog “no longer new”

I think I found a following bug in the forum Help and Support 4 years, 3 months ago
I had a dip inside the code and you are right. PHP throws an error in 7.1+ when treating strings as arrays whereas before it silently converted to an array. I added a hot fix, flagged the bug with the plugin maintainers and all seems to be working again.

When I click to follow someone I get “There has been a critical error on this website.”, if I go back and refresh the follow worked. Am I doing something wrong???

Matthew Brown started the topic Does anyone fancy writing a review? in the forum General Chat 4 years, 3 months ago
I made a post about a new author not so long ago that (for whatever reason) failed to attract any reviews or comments.
I would really appreciate it if we could add some reviews to the mix.
