Blog: Hello, I noticed that Aziraphale’s newspaper included sections that Heaven likely wouldn’t care for. Did Aziraphale create/miracle a newspaper specifically catered to things he likes? Did Crowley do the same with his? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 10 months ago
Excellent question.

Blog: Hey! Huge fan, I adore your work. I don’t want to be weird and gush about what your words mean to me though, so I’ll just do this: According to the Sotheby’s site, your first editions are worth more than Ernest Hemingway’s! What are your thoughts on that? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 10 months ago

Blog: hello Neil!! i’ve pondered this but in the third episode of Good Omens, throughout history, would Aziraphale & Crowley be speaking in English/celestial vernacular or the language at the time? [Obviously scripted to be in English for the viewers’ aid] or was it possibly different for each time, based on circumstance etc? [if they wanted to be more secretive or something??] from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 10 months ago
They were probably speaking the local language of the time and place. Except for the Bastille scene and there Aziraphale is definitely trying to speak French.

Blog: Dear Neil, My mother killed herself before my very eyes and after I told her tough things. Apparently, she talked about doing it for months, and everybody abandoned her or hurt her in some way, yet I now have to live with that guilt, not only the terrible loss, and I have no idea how to that, I have no idea how to transcend that, and I need a friend, I need advice, I need support, and I’m asking you because unfortunately for you, you’re a freaking candle in the dark for many of us. Neil. Please answer because I’m so terribly alone. Please advise because I’m a blocked writer, a broken singer, a traumatized 35 years old child who just don’t know how to do anything anymore. Please help me, even with a word, to make sense of some of it. My family backed up, I’m most of the time alone in the apartment she died in, PLEASE, hear my cry for help. Much love from Paris, Nana. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 10 months ago
Hullo Nana, I wish I had advice and comfort for you. I don’t. Only that there are a lot of people who will read this and care about you, and I’m one of them. Lif […]

Blog: Hey, Mr. Gaiman! Did you have self-doubts when you started as a writer? how’d you deal with it? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 10 months ago
When I started, when I continued, and every minute of every day since. I deal with it by doing the work anyway. I don’t know any other solution.

Blog: Hi Neil, You seem good at advice, so I thought I’d ask for some. There’s something I want to do, kind of like a job I want to get, but it seems impossible. It’s almost crazy to hope it can be achieved. I sort of feel like I’m being ungracious to ask for the impossible. Do you ever get stuck in the face of something near-unachievable? P.S. have a really cool 2023 from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 10 months ago
My entire life and career are on the face of it impossible. I’m the worst person to ever advise people not to go for things that are near-unachievable. Go for it.
