You are never going to feel like it

“I know I need an author platform,” say some writers, “but I don’t feel ready to set one up right now.”

You are never going to feel like it.

Platforms need time to grow. A lot of time.

The most optimal time to start platform building is two years ago. The next best time is today.

Even if you only create a Twitter account and set up a blog but don’t publish much, that is better than not having one.

Even if you have a blog and one social media account and publish irregularly – maybe a few times a year. That’s better than having one and not using it at all. (Which is better than having none).

If you wait to feel like it, you will never get started.

Start your platform today or at the very least start to learn about author platforms today.

We’ve written a guide book to author platforms that you can read for free.
