      I have discovered that I did not even have an about page. I do now.

        That is a solid about page, Christian. You skipped the profile picture which makes sense for you. The only thing I might suggest changing is when you mention your Tumblr blog as a point of contact, make that a link.

        Other than that it seems like an about page that does a good job. I like how you created multiple calls to action for different audience segments – bloggers and readers. I might borrow that idea myself.
