Matthew Brown edited the blog post On Mastodon, notifications cap out at 40+ hiding the fact that it may take an hour to read them all in the group Matthew D. Brown (Author): 1 year, 5 months ago
On Mastodon, notifications cap out at 40+ hiding the fact that it may take an hour to read them all I have noticed recently that, on Mastodon, notifications cap out at 40+. This totally hides the fact that it may take an hour to read them all. As I write this my Mastodon tab is beeping non-stop. This is because a few things I posted today are…Read more

Blog: Hello, Neil – I just wanted to thank you (and Terry, who is dearly missed) for saving my life. I was 12 years old, my dad had died two months before after a long struggle with cancer. I hated everyone and everything, and was in a bad place contemplating self harm. And – on a whim – I picked up Good Omens at the library. Reading that book was the first time I’d laughed in several months. It helped me find humor again – and something in life worth living for. I’m now 29 years old, in the final years of finishing my doctorate, I’ve spoken at conferences showcasing my research, and my first book was published just a little over a year ago. I owe my life – and all my successes since – to finding a little more humor in the world at the darkest time in my life. I’m dearly looking forward to Season 2, and wish you and everyone involved all success in the world. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 5 months ago
Well done. I’m proud of you. I wish I could show this to Terry.

Blog: Here to spread some stats joy – The trailer has been viewed over 4million times since 3pm yesterday!! And that’s just between the goodomens and discussingfilm twitter accounts, and youtube. It doesn’t even include the main primevideo account, their sister accounts or any other site that posted it. Oh, and No1 trending on twitter for a large chunk of yesterday. What I’d love to know (if you’re happy to share) is how you felt in the run up to the trailer’s release – were you nervous in any way? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 5 months ago
No. I’m just really looking forward to Season 2 coming out and for people to see all the hard work and magic we’ve been making ever since John Finnemore and I got […]

Blog: Hello Mr Gaiman! You probably get loads of asks but I hope you see this one, because I recently went to see the theatre production of The Ocean At The End Of The Lane and left filled with an urge to tell you how amazing it was. And it was AMAZING. I’m sure there were also some other very talented people behind costumes and choreography but I don’t know how to reach them so I want to say thank you to you for making this show possible. It’s genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever watched; I came out filled with complete awe. After reading the book I was worried the play wouldn’t match my expectations but I should never have doubted – it brought the same joy and quiet nostalgia and intrinsic knowledge all children have that really, we don’t have to understand everything and that’s okay. I just wanted to say that you and everybody else involved in the creation of such a masterpiece have done a phenomenal job. I walked out of the theatre clutching a little slice of magic, and would urge anybody who has the opportunity and means to see it to go. Every time. I hope you have a good day! from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 5 months ago
Thank you! I love it so much.
