Blog: Hello Mr Gaiman! You probably get loads of asks but I hope you see this one, because I recently went to see the theatre production of The Ocean At The End Of The Lane and left filled with an urge to tell you how amazing it was. And it was AMAZING. I’m sure there were also some other very talented people behind costumes and choreography but I don’t know how to reach them so I want to say thank you to you for making this show possible. It’s genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever watched; I came out filled with complete awe. After reading the book I was worried the play wouldn’t match my expectations but I should never have doubted – it brought the same joy and quiet nostalgia and intrinsic knowledge all children have that really, we don’t have to understand everything and that’s okay. I just wanted to say that you and everybody else involved in the creation of such a masterpiece have done a phenomenal job. I walked out of the theatre clutching a little slice of magic, and would urge anybody who has the opportunity and means to see it to go. Every time. I hope you have a good day! from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 7 months ago
Thank you! I love it so much.
