Blog:
Neil, about Good Omens in the airbase scene. When Satan came everyone was clutching their friends, except Aziraphale who was just ignoring Cowley lying on the ground and suffering pain. Was there any reason for this? this reaction from Aziraphale was probably not what any of us expected.
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 3 months ago
He didn’t ignore him. He did what he had to do to get Crowley to save us all…Aziraphale is humbled and amazed that they survived. Crowley drops to his knees. He’ […]

Blog:
Hi! I've written a how-to/art book with my partner and while I understand the market for fiction is different than non-fiction, we are trying to evaluate whether it would be better to solicit a publisher or to self publish. The world of publishing is very uncertain and if you can provide an insight that would help us immensely. Thanks!
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 3 months ago
I honestly don’t know. The most important thing about self-publishing is having a way to let people know your book is out and good and a way to distribute it to p […]

Blog:
Hi Neil,

A question that’s occurred to me since there’s a Sandman adaptation in the offing: if you had your time again, would you include the other DC characters (especially the Justice League) in ‘Preludes and Nocturns’ and, to a lesser extent, other arcs, or not? On the one hand, it’s not the most natural fit for the story of Morpheus and his cosmic family. On the other, there are things I really appreciatein there, like the idea of superheroism being a phase for Lyta Hall as she struggles with her identity, or even the quick scene of a standup comedian using Batman’s secret identity as material, which I would understand you being proud of. Also, did you feel it was something you had to do, or was it a genuine desire of yours to play with these characters?
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 3 months ago
Good question. It was my desire to do it (often to the bafflement of Dave McKean) not DC’s request, as I loved getting to work in the fabric of the DC Universe, l […]

Blog:
My sister and I love Good Omens. We’re very close but live far away from each other and when one of us is feeling homesick we get on the phone and read it out loud to make us feel better. Because of this we’ve decided to get matching tattoos inspired by the book. Do you have a favorite quote, or any that stand out in your mind from Good Omens that you could recommend?
from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 3 months ago
What a great idea. I think it should be your favourites, though, not mine.
