Blog: I’m afraid to have to go straight to the source to ask this. According to the internet, in January 2022, the Mass Market Paperback of Fragile Things with the amazing cover art by Robert McGinnis was released by Harpers Collins. I have sought out that edition but three times received the 2010 paperback even when double checking edition info, even when checking for the ISBN. I’m beginning to feel like I’m being tricked, and maybe a Robert McGinnis cover doesn’t exist yet? I thought you might know for sure if this edition actually has come out yet or not? I kept one 2010 edition copy for my collection (it’s a long ways away from being complete, but I’m happy to own several of your lovely books), but now I have two too many. They’re looking to become Christmas gifts at this rate, which I’m sure nobody will mind (I work in a library, I can find two other fans of your works with no problem) but I digress. Thanks for Being an Author, by the way. I always enjoy your works! from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 9 months ago
Weird. My guess is that it has to do with warehouse stocking in a post Covid world. I know the book exists as I’ve seen people post photographs of themselves reading it.

Blog: I love that you are really successful with GO and all but your American Gods novel changed my life. Are you completely done with them? Have we seen the last of Shadow? I prefer what you write rather than the “starz” adaptations. Thank You for your time and patience. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 9 months ago
I very much hope not. There are more Shadow stories to be told.

Blog: may have already been asked, but why is there very little “official” Good Omens merch? i’m just genuinely curious. I have the Funko Pop set and fan art stickers from RedBubble, but usually when a show/movie is popular, Hot Topic (or somewhere similar) has merch of some kind. Could we expect the same result for the upcoming season and perhaps The Sandman series? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 9 months ago
I don’t know. I don’t really understand it. We keep being told by the BBC that a) there’s no demand for merchandise and b) they are very grumpy about how much […]

Blog: In the editing phase of my text-art-story-thingy (which I am dying to show you once it’s finished). Wise friends have commented on the first draft and I had a six month pause from it. Fresh eyes, Bewilderment and All that. Question: When presenting second draft to the publishing profession, should it be “No stone unturned thrice”-finished or “I’m still mulling over whether or not doing this or that minor change”-finished? All I hear is to be prepared to make changes suggested by the publisher and that kind of make me lean toward the latter kind of finished. As to not be to adamant in knowing exactly why each sentence is where it is and why. Really it is a house of card of intricate lies and changing small bits will affect so much anyway but still: Finished or really finished-finished? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 9 months ago

Every night when you go to sleep you have a vivid dream that you are struggling to stay above the water of a slightly choppy sea with no boat or land in sight. When you wake up, you and your bed are soaked with briny water.
