Blog: How much do David Tennant and Michael Sheen adlib? Like do you give them more freedom when shooting? Have you ever used their feedback in writing scenes or adding scenes? Its always interesting to me how different directors or actors embrace or oppose this kind of thing. I personally love it! Like I’ve heard the magic scene where Aziraphale is getting excited and showing Crowley his poorly done magic tricks that ends with David saying something like “Make YOU dissapear..” is adlibbed? Are there other scenes that you’d feel comfortable sharing, that were adlibbed like that one(assuming it’s true anyway)? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 3 months ago
Just the end of that one. We kept the camera running to see what they’d do, and we liked what they did.

Blog: Is it possible to do perspective switching mid chapter in a novel? I’ve started writing a fantasy story for fun and I like to switch perspectives to show scenes from different views and show different characters’ thoughts. My writing group have told me that I may not want to do things this way. I believe them but I’m wondering if this is just a bad way of doing things or if I’m just executing it badly. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 3 months ago
You can do anything you like, as long as it’s clear what you are doing and your readers can follow. You can have a dozen points of view in a chapter if you want, o […]
