Blog: I can’t decide between an English MA and a Creative Writing MFA. I know you’re involved in literary studies as well, but how did you know which subject to pursue? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 2 months ago
I never did that stuff. I just started writing, so I’m not really much of a judge. Still, I suppose as Professor in the Arts at Bard College I ought to have some k […]

Blog: I have another Alan Moore question, sorry. Does he actually believe the conspiracy theory about Jack the Ripper from which he adapted the plot for From Hell, or does it serve as a metaphorical device for corruption and oppression in royalty, capital, medicine, etc.? I had always assumed the latter, but wonder if he’s ever explicitly said. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 2 months ago
Yes, he’s explicitly said many times, including in the notes to From Hell, and the Dance of the Gull-Catchers coda.

Blog: Hi Neil. In the bar scene after Aziraphale was discorporated, I have often been puzzled about Aziraphale’s response of “I’m so sorry to hear it” to Crowley’s “I lost my best friend”. Does Aziraphale here understand that Crowley is talking about him? His reaction is hard to interpret and it makes me think that he does not. Thank you for gifting us with your creations and all the best to you. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 2 months ago

Blog: I know this is actually the real Neil Gaiman’s blog but your default header and the cropping of your profile pic makes it look like someone made an account impersonating you in 2010 and hasn’t touched it since… that’s it i have nothing of value to say lol love your work. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 3 years, 2 months ago
That’s a very astute observation. One day I’ll redesign the blog, but it’s at the bottom of the bottom of the list of things I have to do.
