Blog: Hi Neil! A lot of fans see TV!Aziraphale as a softer personality than Book!Aziraphale (more uncertain, less judgmental), and TV!Crowley as more high-strung & expressive than Book!Crowley. How do you compare them? Did the differences arise due to plot changes, Michael & David’s chemistry, and/or…? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 10 months ago
For me, it’s just Crowley and Aziraphale. Sometimes I’ve had people here on Tumblr ask me about perceived differences, and I’ve had to point out that the scrip […]

Blog: Mr. Gaiman, I wanna learn how to beat the snot out of my characters when I write. To really make the reader FEEL the beat down. Viscerally. Problem is, I don’t know how to do that…and none of the books I’ve read have major beat downs in them. Would you have any title recommendations that I could learn from? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 10 months ago
Don’t worry about how to beat them up. Just love them and care for them and make sure that when the plot takes you to places where they get hurt that you feel f […]

Blog: Wait wait, but from Crawley (the town) it went to Crawleigh (in William the Antichrist). It was when Terry separated the two characters that he became Crowley, do we know why? I imagine the “E” was dropped later in Eden to make “Crawly” to emphasize the snake aspect… but maybe I am wrong. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 10 months ago
And then I brought it full circle to Crawley in the script book. (I lived near Crawley, and it was funnier to me than it was to Terry.)

They did. And they explained on Twitter and I deleted the ask and the answer.
