That’s a complex question. Both are ways to define the topic space for your post.
I tend to use categories to define the broad strokes of the subject(s) of a blog and use the tags to fill in the details. For SEO reasons, I like to have the category in the permalink.
I like to tag posts with the names of people I have cited. That way it is easy…Read more
