Blog: have you read (i assume the answer is yes) A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness? if yes, did you view the monster as literal or only as a metaphor for grief? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
Why is it an either/or?

Blog: In reference to dedicating American Gods to Roger Zelazny…. Did you know him? And was he a decent person? I often wonder about my favorite sci fi and fantasy authors… Because while obviously there were people of impeccable moral quality like Sir Terry Pratchett and Ursula K. Le Guin, some authors that have been important to me I later learned were bigots, like Niven and Card. Zelazny (no offense) is my favorite genre author and I’ve avoided learning anything about his life outside his work. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
I knew Roger and he was wonderful. A good person.

Blog: My dear, will you enlighten us a bit about the “coloring” of a show like Good Omens?? Is it very different from what the shot looks like IRL? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
Sometimes. For example, the scene in the bandstand was shot at about 10 am on a bright grey morning, about an hour before Aziraphale and Gabriel’s jogging scene. H […]

Blog: Hi Mr Gaiman! I just recently read Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? and I absolutely loved it, it’s definitely one of my favourite Batman books now. I was wondering, was the idea entirely yours, or did DC give you a general plot outline and you filled in the gaps? It’s such a different story to most and I’ve often been curious about what goes into writing a comic. Thank you! from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
No. The only brief from D.C. was to write the last two issues of Detective Comics.

Blog: Hi Neil!!! I hope you are safe and well and good and all the things ( of the things) that are of the wonderful . I read on a Tumblr ( if memory serves) that you said the Netflix Sandman series is going to be premiering at the end of 2022 . Can you confirm or deny this? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
I’ve never given a release date. I’d expect it to be out in Spring or Summer of 2022 but we don’t have a definite release date yet.

Blog: Hi Neil. I was wondering if you’ve read Robert Zelazny’s This Immortal? If you have, did it have any influence on American Gods? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
