Blog: Hi Neil! Hope youre well, congrats on wrapping on season 2! I was just wondering about your perspective on using second person being ‘literary suicide’. Do you think that has any merit? I’ve heard a few people talk about how hard it is to get right and I’m just curious about your pov on this Have a nice day! 🙂 from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
You can use it when you need to. You need a reason to do it and to make it work. It’s as hard to pull off as it would be to shoot a movie entirely from the point o […]

Blog: hello sir, i dare you to put the words “wait and see” somewhere in the upcoming seasons , which must be spoken by crowley 🙂 from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
Honestly, challenges like this are far more effective if issued before a show wraps filming.

Blog: Hi, Neil. Is production and just the all around Good Omens 2 coming together on schedule and on time? Have there been possibly any big set-backs yet or is it all seeming to come together smoothly. Just curious. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
We were really lucky, in this time of Covid. We didn’t lose any shooting days to Covid, or any cast, and we got every shot we needed. So much luck.

Blog: Sorry, I know you and Terry Pratchett were close. I have to ask, was Good Omens a story you wrote FOR each other and not just WITH each other? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
I guess. I wrote my bits with Terry as the intended audience, and Terry wrote his bits to make me laugh. Somewhere in there we started aiming at other human being too.

Blog: Dear Author, during the bookshop fire we see and hear the haunting gramophone still playing “You’re my Best Friend”… or is that just the background music for the take? Was Aziraphale listening to You’re My Best Friend from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 8 months ago
No, Aziraphale was not listening to Queen. That’s on the soundtrack. Or possibly playing on the Bentley and spilling over onto the Soundtrack.
