Blog: I just want you to know that the Dreamcast you did with the cast of Sandman has legitimately helped me sleep. I have anxiety so some nights are much harder than others. But the Dreamcast gives me such a calm that i can relax and next thing i know – im out! I just wanted to say thank you because it’s been a life [sleep?] saver. from

Blog: how many times has a story never come to fruition for you? and do you ever become discouraged by not finishing these projects? from
Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 1 month ago
Things mostly get completed when the time is right. Sometimes it takes decades. I’m used to it. And so I’m never discouraged when something doesn’t get finished immediately.

Blog: Mr. Gaiman, I am a huge bird-watching nerd and it irks me so much that Jessamy is called a raven when she is clearly a pied crow. I know that it was to physically distinguish her from Michael, but there are many species of raven that look different from common ravens from
Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 1 month ago
And one of them is (I have been schooled by my Birder friends) the pied crow, because it is structurally a small raven.

Blog: What pronouns should we use to refer to Gwendolyn Christie’s Lucifer, given that the character is referred to with he/him in the comics, is played by an actress who uses she/her, and angels are generally genderless? from
Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 1 month ago

Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 1 month ago
I have no idea what a school house banner is or does but I think that Hillary’s a pretty cool place to be and that Aotearoa is a very cool place to have a Hillary in.

Blog: Hello Mr. Gaiman! I was looking up Hob Gadling’s surname meaning to find analogous surnames in my own language, and found that it literally means “a companion in arms, fellow, comrade, a man of humble condition; lowborn” and I have to ask if this was intentional or if it’s a really funny coinsidence. In other words, did you really make a human character who was supposed to be the godly protagonist’s buddy, only to name him Bob the Commoner Friend If so, this is hillarious, thank you Have a great day! from
Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 2 years, 1 month ago
More or less, yes. Although that was much more a commentary on his role in life when Morpheus meets him.gadling – Wiktionary
