Jessica Joy trained at theatre school and aspired to be an actress for several years. After a life-changing journey around the world, she met and later married her husband. She has recently returned to writing which she does from the family home in Deal, Kent (consisting of her husband, two teenagers and the dog.)
Jessica has had a variety of occupations from training officer to restaurant manager. She spent years acting and directing in Amateur Dramatics and starred in a pop video for the ‘Crazy Gods of Endless Noise’ on BBC2.
An avid bird watcher since her childhood, Jessica recently tried falconry and writes overlooking her garden and its plethora of birds. On the bucket list was learning to ride a motorcycle, which she has just mastered. Jessica loves her weekly tap dancing classes.
She wrote, directed, and acted in her play ‘Full Circle’ for the Greenwich Arts Festival in 1991 and wrote the script for an NHS training video for East Kent Stop Smoking Service. Jessica blogs as Rambling Rose, musing about life’s rich tapestry under the title ‘C’est La Vie’ and shares her experiences as pillion passenger on her husband’s motorbike under the title ‘Ladies Who Lean’.
