Focus on the remarkable

What is remarkable about your book? I do not mean what is amazing but what is worth remarking upon.

Whatever it is about your book, your blog, or your author platform that is worth remarking upon – it is that which should be your main focus.

Saying something is worth remarking upon is like saying, “what is your USP?”

A USP is a business term. you Unique Selling Position. In other words, what do you do differently. Whatever that difference is, it needs to be enough to draw customers from your competitors.

Your book has many competitors. Your book is competing with every book there is and every book there will be. Your book is also competing with Youtube, Social Media, TV, cinema, pubs, and literally anything that is not someone reading your book.

What is it about your book that could make readers go, “Ooh, I have to read that”? Whatever that ooh-factor is, focus on it.
