Platform tip: Supporting characters

This week, let’s focus on supporting characters. On your blog, post a short interview with a supporting character covering what they want (but can’t or can’t have), some memorable moments from their past, and a secret no one else knows.

This helps in a number of ways:

  1. The post will give dedicated readers a perspective that more casual readers lack
  2. The writing gives you a way to develop and flesh out a character
  3. Sharing the post gives social media followers something to visit your site for
  4. The interview can help raise excitement for your book
  5. It reminds fans that you are actively working on a book for them
