The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is a new release by first-time author Stuart Turton.

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn HardcastleHere at Author Buzz UK, we love seeing new authors getting into print. Which is why we are excited by the news of first-time author Stuart Turton’s book.

Readers that pay very close attention will know that I love science fiction, fantasy, time travel, and high concept fiction.

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is reportedly a high concept murder mystery involving time loops and murder. It has been described as Gosford Park meets Inception, by way of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express.

I’ve pre-ordered the book as it comes out in early February. I will post a review when I have read it.

It has been a long while since I was so excited about a new novel. Especially by an author I have only just heard about.

The blurb

Just listen to this:

It is meant to be a celebration but it ends in tragedy. As fireworks explode overhead, Evelyn Hardcastle, the young and beautiful daughter of the house, is killed.

But Evelyn will not die just once. Until Aiden – one of the guests summoned to Blackheath for the party – can solve her murder, the day will repeat itself, over and over again. Every time ending with the fateful pistol shot.

The only way to break this cycle is to identify the killer. But each time the day begins again, Aiden wakes in the body of a different guest. And someone is determined to prevent him ever escaping Blackheath…

Now tell me that you don’t want to read this book too.
