Blog: Hello, Mr. Gaiman! I was introduced to you through Coraline when I was nine. Ever since, you’ve been such an inspiration to me as a writer and you’re most of the reason why I wanted to be an author in the first place. I’ve seen/read/listened to just about everything I could find of yours, but my overall favourites will always and forever be Good Omens and Sandman. So, to the question… this may be an odd thing to ask, but would you mind if I dedicated my book to you? You can totally say no, I just thought it might be better to ask first. Thank you for everything you’ve created! from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 4 months ago
I’d be honoured.

My former sister-in-law borrowed one of your books from a friend. She haphazardly put it in her bag one day and accidentally bent the cover. She felt terrible and brought it to a book signing, explained her plight, and you signed it with:
“Don’t mind the bent cover.”
This is a great story about you, but it’s also become somewhat of a metaphor that helps me get through sticky situations. Thank you for the stories you’ve written as well as the ones you are in. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 4 months ago
You are so welcome!

Blog: after getting myself thoroughly hooked on all things Good Omens i decided that i would start listening to the full cast audiobook for American Gods (i’m about ~75% in and loving it so far!!) and i was pleasantly surprised to find out that you narrate the Coming to America chapters! i think your voice is very well suited for audio narration, it’s calming and engaging if that makes sense. have you/have you considered narrating any of your other novels? from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 4 months ago
I do narrate almost all of them. (Not Anansi Boys. That’s for Lenny Henry.)

Blog: Hello Mr. Gaiman I actually have no hope that you might see this but I want to write it anyway We are Egyptian Muslims, so good omens is too strange for a Muslim young mind. Now as I’m writing this, my 11 yo niece is so excited to watch S01E02 Watching first episode was so confusing for her. I had a lot of explaining about old testament and Quran tales to do, The concepts of good and evil, So much explaining about scriptures had to be made before talking about the role and rules of imagination and how it’s the base of everything good and sometimes evil we as humans came to be and create. She’s now enjoying it with much less confusion And though I have no business to be proud of your Amazing work, but I’m still proud that I know how to enjoy it with her and the chance of taking a step further with her towards acceptance and defferentiating between artistic creation and religion and that the later should never hinder the former and also to help introducing your work to her. Hope soon her English will be good enough so she can start reading your books herself. Thank you for this nice enriching time we had because of you. from Neil Gaiman in the group Fans of Neil Gaiman 1 year, 4 months ago
Thank you for explaining it to her.
