The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they’ve found it.

It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

There’s one I quote quite a lot. I’d forgotten it was a Pratchettism.

There’s an ace one about dreams and working hard.

If you trust in yourself and believe in your dreams and follow your star, you’ll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren’t so lazy.

If your character’s conversations are too much like a radio script, give your character something to fiddle with.

If youir chapter is too shart or you desperately need to pad word count, make two characters argue about something. It is good if you need them to miss something obvious for “plot reasons”.

1. Get it down on paper; make it pretty later
2. After an event, there are four stages -> immotion, reasoning, anticipation, and action
3. If you gave 100 authors the same ideas, you would get (at least) 100 unique stories. Only you can tell yours.
