Use the calendar to plan your posts

When you run a blog, maintaining a publishing schedule can seriously increase its effectiveness.

The WordPress Editorial Calendar is one such way to manage this task. The editorial calendar is something we added right after the last big update. It is a tool to help you plan your posts, and decide when they should go out.

You can drag and drop posts from one day to another, create drafts posts, and preview unscheduled drafts.

After you active your WordPress Editorial Calendar you will find a new entry under “Posts” where you can access your blog’s calendar.

Our calendar looked something like this when I was writing this post.

For those of you that write as part of a team (Thanet Creative, for example), this will help you organise when the posts are going out. Even if you write alone, this can be a useful tool for seeing when to schedule a post (or reschedule a post if some important news breaks).

To use your WordPress Editorial Calendar on your Author Buzz blog, simply go to plugins and active it. It will be ready to use right away with no configuration required.
